About Monstro Theatre
MONSTRO makes puppet musicals for people of all sizes. Led by theatre-maker and composer Ben Glasstone and a bevy of the country’s finest musical puppeteers and designers, we are dedicated to extending the language of puppetry and music theatre and to challenging the boundaries between theatre made for children and for adults.
MONSTRO began with the creation of Little Angel Theatre’s much-loved musical The Mouse Queen, by a group of theatre makers led by Ben back in the mid 2000s.That seminal show, directed by Steve Tiplady, designed by Peter O’Rourke and co-written with Tim Kane, went on to run off-West End and off-Broadway in New York with great success and since then Ben has worked with these artists and many others developing “puppet musicals” of all sorts, both with Monstro and with Little Angel, Polka and many other theatres making work for family audiences.
If you have any questions regarding the application, please contact Rae Lee at raelbow@gmail.com
We look forward to hearing from you.
Monstro Theatre.
